Hi there! We’re Joel and Hope — a creative, laid-back, and adventure-loving couple who believe in living life with purpose, joy, and lots of laughter. Whether we’re building something with our hands, soaking up the sunshine at the beach, or relaxing by a campfire, we love spending quality time together and with the people we care about most.
Joel works as a subcontractor, specializing in interior trim and flooring. He’s incredibly skilled with tools and craftsmanship — and when he’s not on a job site, he’s usually in the garage woodworking, painting, or trying out a new creative project. Joel is a natural builder — not just of things, but of relationships and experiences. He’s fun, dependable, and always up for a good challenge (especially if it involves a skateboard and a kickflip!).
He’s also a big fan of burgers (he orders one almost anywhere we go), loves board games — especially Monopoly — and has a great sense of humor. Joel brings calm, creativity, and laughter into every space he enters.
Hope works remotely as an Administrative Assistant during the week and helps as a Wedding Venue Assistant on weekends. She’s organized, outgoing, and passionate about making things beautiful — whether she’s helping a bride walk down the aisle or just setting up a cozy moment at home.
Hope loves coffee shops (her go-to is an iced lavender latte), summertime campfires, and the thrill of ziplining. Her favorite holiday is the Fourth of July — fireworks, cookouts, and all the festive, patriotic fun. She’s warm, spunky, and full of energy — the kind of person who makes everyone around her feel instantly at ease.
Together, we spend our free time doing what we love most — being outdoors, traveling, playing pickleball, and soaking in the simple joys of life. Whether we’re at the beach boogie boarding in the waves or enjoying a quiet evening under the stars, we’re always making memories together.
While we don’t have children yet, we’ve always known that adoption would be a part of our story. Our hearts are wide open, and we are so ready to grow our family with a child (or twins!) we can love, support, and share our life with. We are surrounded by a strong, supportive community of family and friends who are just as excited as we are to welcome a little one into our home.
Faith, family, and fun are at the center of everything we do. We can’t wait to build a life full of adventure, love, creativity, and laughter — and to share all of that with the child we’re blessed to adopt.
